She opened her eyes to look at him, and saw that he was controlling himself, that he was going slowly

for her benefit, for it was going to hurt her, she understood that now. And so touched was she by his

concern for her, by his reluctance to do something he knew was going to cause her pain, that suddenly

she did not care if it hurt, she only knew that she wanted him inside her, now. She reached up and

grasped the back of his neck, pulling him down to her, and she laid her hand against his cheek and

whispered his name. “Armand.”
